She was suffering from complaining of abscess in left leg for the last 1.5 years, but she was not facing any more problem. Beneficiary belongs to a poor family and it was very difficult for her family to bear the expenses incurred due to the disease like cancer. The beneficiary family went to the nearby Lok Mitra Kendra to find out their eligibility in the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana by giving their ration card. His family was very happy to know that he is eligible for treatment under Ayushman Bharat Yojana. The beneficiary got his golden card under which he was treated for free and now she is completely healthy.

Beneficiary Smt. Satvinder Kaur, wife of Sh.. Jasveer Singh, is a resident of Kaccha Tank Nahan District Sirmaur. She was suffering from stomach ache and vomiting problems for the last year and a half. Six months ago, her pain increased and she also had an infection problem. She was also unable to walk. She went to the hospital where after medical examination she was told that she had stones in her gall bladder for which the doctors suggested surgery for treatment which cost about 15000 to 18000 thousand rupees. Beneficiary belongs to a poor family and it was very difficult for her family to bear this expense. She was told by the hospital staff about the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. The beneficiary got his name checked in the list and his name was listed in the list and immediately got the card of Ayushman Bharat and her treatment was done free of cost.

58 years old Roshan Lal is a resident of village Neri, Rampur, district Shimla. He broke his leg due to a collision with a stone, due to which he was unable to move. For treatment, he had been brought to Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla where after investigation he was told that a metal road would have to be put in his leg. He was told in the hospital that under Ayushman Bharat Scheme, his complete treatment could be done free of cost. His family found out his eligibility in the hospital by ration card and he was very happy to know that his family name is in the list of Ayushman Bharat. He got the card of Ayushman Bharat in the hospital itself and under this scheme his complete treatment was given free of cost. The beneficiary and his entire family have thanked the central government and the state government for running this ambitious scheme.

The beneficiary Smt. Reena Devi is a resident of Nahan district Sirmaur. She was troubled by weakness and fever and pain problem for a long time. After conducting an investigation in P.G.I. Chandigarh, it was found that both of her kidneys were not functioning and they were suggested for dialysis. Dialysis costs more than about 2000 rupees per sitting but her family was unable to bear this cost. They came to know about the Himcare scheme and got the card of Himcare scheme and from 14 March 2019 all the dialysis costs are being covered under the Himcare scheme. After investigation at Tanda Medical College, Kangra, she was told that there was a problem in her heart valve for which she would have to undergo surgery and the cost was said to be about one lakh. Ranjana Devis father Shri Kewal Singh is a daily wager and earns around Rs.5000 / - a month. It was very difficult for her to bear the expenses of the surgery. But her family had the card of Ayushman Bharat. In Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla, Ranjana Devis complete treatment was provided free of cost under this scheme and now she is completely healthy. She was admitted to IGMC, Shimla to get her examined, where after investigation it was found out that she had blockages in her heart and needed to get two stents done immediately. The beneficiary belongs to a poor family and it was very difficult for them to bear the expenses on the surgery.
